Goldblatt McGuigan Acquire Leaf Consultancy

Goldblatt McGuigan the Chartered Accountancy and Professional Services firm has announced the acquisition of Leaf Consultancy, a local specialist ICT services company.

Established in 2003, Leaf provides computer system, networking, telecommunications and internet consultancy services to clients in the private and public sectors and currently employs a team of 8 consulting and engineering staff.  Following the acquisition Director Steven Goldblatt will head up the firm’s new ICT Division, which will continue to trade as Leaf Consultancy.

Announcing the acquisition Sir David Fell, Chairman, Goldblatt McGuigan said that Leaf Consultancy’s expertise would not only strengthen the practice’s client services portfolio but bring critical new skills to the internal resources of the practice.

“This is further evidence of Goldblatt McGuigan’s commitment to growing and developing its business, following the establishment of a Management Consultancy Division, and the acquisition of Robinson & Co. in Portadown, in the last year. ICT is the nerve centre of modern business and it is critical to every organisation that its computer networks, telephone and internet communications are working at the optimum level.  The Leaf team have a wealth of technical knowledge and practical experience and have a well established client base across the private and public sectors, I have no doubt that their specialist knowledge will be of considerable benefit to our existing client base and that the two businesses complement each other well.” said Sir David Fell.

The Leaf Consultancy Division will operate from offices at James Street South, Belfast and plans are already in place to expand the team by 50% by the middle of next year.

“As part of the wider Goldblatt McGuigan organisation we considerable opportunities to expand the Leaf Consultancy operation and to further develop our range of services.  There is already a well established relationship between the two businesses.  We have been managing the firm’s ICT network for the past two years and have supported the Forensic Accounting team in a range of fraud investigation projects. We are also helping them to develop a new suite of Counter-Fraud products. I am confident that this is a good move for Leaf Consultancy, Goldblatt McGuigan and most important of all, our clients” said Steven Goldblatt.
